Our Story

Tees Valley Together CIO (TVT) was established during the pandemic and supported many causes. We initially started as a Constituted Community group and worked across the Tees Valley to support families with food and everyday essentials. We also support other initiatives including laundry bags for nurses, care packs for nursing home staff, and awards for the community.

Here's a look back at what we got up to during those unprecedented times.....

Fast forward to February 2023

Unfortunately we had to move from the TA centre (although we don't miss those stairs) and moved to The recreation Centre in Hemlington. We quickly out grew the recreation centre and moved in to the locality hub in the Viewley shopping centre in Hemlington where we are  now based. We are currently open to the public 3 days a week  and have 30 to 50 people accessing our services each day. We have a  eco shop, home from home and a separate baby room, this means people can access affordable food , clothing and small household items and toys .

We run Warm Welcome Wednesday where we offer a free hot drink and snack and people get the opportunity to find out about other services , have the opportunity to chat, craft and play a variety of board games.

We run sports and allsorts during Easter, summer and Christmas holidays offering 120 places a week where children can come along, get a hot meal and take part in crafts, games and outdoor activities to help keep them active. (This is part of the Holiday Activity and Fun sessions which the council support.)

We couldn't do this with our amazing staff and volunteers and the support of funders past and present.
